No words...

Right now as I type, I'm listening to someone live online from Afghanistan... I just finished listening to the President speak to the country and the world, and I'm full of mixed feelings.
Osama Bin Laden was killed by US forces today.
I am overcome with joy, what sweet justice for the things he's done, and the innocent people he has killed! However I am a little reserved and a lot nervous! The Taliban will not just cry and move on, they will be furious and they WILL retaliate! The things that make me nervous are 1. the fact that Kasey still has 4 years that the ARMY can call him up for deployment, 2. I have a LOT of friends in the military still that are deployed and I am so worried for their safety! I also have things going through my mind about my religion, so many things have been happening lately that are talked about in the scriptures pointing towards the second coming of Christ. This makes me a little nervous because honestly, I'm not ready! I think I will relish in the joy and justice tonight and worry about the rest when it comes!
What an amazing day in history, Something I'll never forget!

God Bless the USA & Let FREEDOM ring!!!!

Spring

Spring is possibly tied with fall for my favorite times of  the year, but I do love spring! I love when everything starts coming alive again and the beauty that I'm surrounded with!
Today I was able to take my dog on a walk with out a jacket, picked up the backyard a little bit and mowed the lawn all after work and finished before it was dark. I LOVE the smell of freshly cut grass, something about it scream star gazing and laughter to me, it also makes me crave chocolate ice cream... I hope you are all loving your spring just as much as I am :)

i AM a photographer!

Wow, its been awhile... forgive me! I really just haven't had much to say or things I thought should be shared on my blog anyways. Today however I'm a little frustrated, if thats even the right word. Something happened yesterday that made me realize that the only reason people don't call me a photographer is because neither do I.
Yesterday I over heard this comment "well, Ashlee takes pictures but we are having a professional take them" um... last I checked I am doing more then just 'taking pictures' but how is the world and my family for that matter supposed to know any different when I myself when asked what I do or where I work respond with 'Well I work as an Administrative Assistant at a company called Xango' Starting today my answer will be 'I am a wedding photographer, and I also work as and admin' sounds much better! I'll never get where I want to be if I can't even tell people I'm a photographer! Its silly I know but for whatever reason I've always had a very hard time saying positive things about myself, even calling myself a professional, but today I'm stepping out of fear and out of my comfort zone and from now on I will proudly claim that 'I am a photographer!'
