HALLOWEEN!!

Alright so then there was Halloween, and if you've ever been around for a XanGo Halloween party, well then you know that we don't take this stuff lightly! The winner of the best prize gets 1,500 bucks hard cold cash!!! Of course there are ALWAYS about 10-15 other prizes as well... runners up, honorable mentions etc. Here are some pictures to give you kind of an idea of what goes down every October 31st at XanGo!

This guy was about 15 feet tall!!!

He said he's been collecting cans for 4 years!!! This is for sure one of my favorites!!!
LOL what can you say about this? I laughed so hard! Its hard to see but he is wearing a Obama button... lets not get into that conversation!!! (well not on this post anyway)
My friend Kenz and Me she was Batgirl and I was just a witch!! lol but it was a blast!
Does this look great or what?!?!
I'm not really sure who he was supposed to be, but he sure made me laugh!
This picture seriously took me like 15 times jumping up in the air before Kenz got it to take and my legs be off the ground and my head not cut off!! Oh wait I mean... This is me flying through the park on my tiny broom and some one caught me... lol so much fun though!

XanGo Grand Opening

So back on October 28th we had the grand opening of our new building at work... What a day!!! Here are a few of the shots I got!

These are the AWESOME people that I get to work with!!
My buddies!
Some of the Execs and some local Diplomates aka Matheson, Hatch etc... :)
My favorite part was the balloon release! We have a item at work called the 'Meal Pack' we lauched 1 balloon for ever 700 packs that we have sold since the product launched less than a year ago, the best part you ask? Every pack is sent to a 3rd world country where it feeds 100 people!!! (oh and rest assured these are bio-degradable balloons!)
Then we were off for our 5k supporting our 'healthy lifestyles' some ran some walked and some of us opted for the 1 mile speed walk! And of course there were the on lookers that were there for our support!!
We released 500 balloons (remember each one represents 700 meal packs!) that means 350,000 MEAL PACKS!!!! Thats alot of food sent out to help other people!

Hope

I like to think in my spare time that I am a writer of sorts, I think it is because it makes me feel smart and full of purpose, since my current job could be done by ANYONE, yes anyone even someone thats mostly stupid! I inspire myself by reading quotes and inspiring thoughts... I wanted to be an english major in collage but, that didn't work out. Who wants to memorize the 25 rules just for using the comma? Not me! That and I like to make up my own words to much to actually teach english to other people. Anywho, I found this quote today and wanted to share it with everyone!
"I am not an optimist, because I am not sure that everything ends well. Nor am I a pessimist, because I am not sure that everything ends badly. I just carry hope in my heart. Hope is the feeling that life and work have a meaning. You either have it or you don't, regardless of the state of the world that surrounds you. Life without hope is an empty, boring, and useless life. I cannot imagine that I could strive for something if I did not carry hope in me. I am thankful to God for this gift. It is as big as life itself."

Letter to a millitary spouse

'LETTER TO A MILITARY SPOUSE'
unknown author

While I have never had the pleasure of meeting you or your husband, I felt the need to write you and express a very deep feeling that I have in my heart.
I, as a person, am not brave. I do not tackle things head on, as I hate confrontation. I will travel 100 miles out of my way just to avoid a conflict. I am an American woman that has no idea what is going on in the military other than what I hear on the news.
I have never had to let go of someone so that they could go fight for people that they didn't know, people that sometimes do not appreciate or understand what they are fighting for.
I have never had a sleepless night of worry because of a report that another bomb has exploded and I still haven't heard from my husband.
I have never had to wait for months on end to hold the one that I loved so.
I have never had to tell my children that daddy wasn't coming home tonight because he was so far away fighting for something that they aren't yet old enough to understand.
I have never had to hold my head high and suppress the tears as I hear that it will be at least another six months of separation before my loved one gets to come home.
I have never had to deal with a holiday away from the one that I thought I would share every day of my life with.
And I have never had to feel the panic rising in my heart at the sound of a ringing phone or knock at the door for fear that it is the news that everyone is terrified of getting.
For the reasons listed above, I can not tell you that I understand how you feel. I can not tell you that you must be strong. I can not say that you shouldn't be angry, because you "knew what you were getting into when you married a military man". I can not say these things because I have never had to walk in your shoes.
What I can say for certain is that because of your unselfish acts of bravery and your husbands willingness to stand up for those who see him as "just another soldier" - - I will never have to walk in your shoes.
I do understand that as a military wife you are expected to uphold a certain amount of control, but I never understood how you could do it, until now. I have figured out that you are not like other women. You are of a special breed. You have a strength within you that holds life together in the darkest of hours, a strength of which I will never possess. The faith you have is what makes you stand out in a crowd; it makes you glow with emotion and swell with pride at the mention of The United States of America.
You are a special lady, a wonderful partner and a glorious American.
I have more respect for your husband than I could ever tell you, but until recently I never thought much about those that the soldier leaves at home during deployment.
Until this moment I could never put into words exactly what America meant to me.
Until this moment, I had no real reason to.... Until I heard of you.
Your husband and his military family hold this nation close, safe from those who wish to hurt us...but you and those like you are the backbone of the American family. You keep the wheels in motion and the hearts alive while most would just break completely down. Military families make this nation what it is today.
You give us all hope and you emit a warming light at the end of a long dark tunnel.
Because of you and your family...I am able to be me. I am able to have my family. I am able to walk free in this great land. Because of you and your family, I can look ahead to the future with the knowledge that life is going to be okay. Because of you and your family, I can awake to a new day, everyday.
I realize that you are a stronger person than I will ever be because of these things and I just wanted to take the time today to say thank you to you and your family for allowing me that freedom.
I will never be able to repay this debt to you, as it is unmatchable. However, I hope that you know that no matter where you are...what you are doing...what has happened today...or what will happen tomorrow...Your husband will NEVER be "just another soldier" to me.... And you, dear sweet lady, will never be forgotten.
You are all in my prayer's everyday and I pray that God will bring you back together with your loved one safely.
May God Bless You!

I got this letter from a friend that found it online and wanted to share it with me, I don't know how you will feel when you read this, maybe you will feel touched, maybe annoyed, or maybe nothing, all I know is that this brought tears to my eyes and the kind of goosebumps you only get when something really moves you! I hope you enjoy it and next time you think of one of our AMAZING United States soldiers realize that they aren't just putting their lifes at risk, they are away from family and loved ones and they are laying in the dirt, mud, sand or whatever the ground happens to be where they are missing their family while their family is at home unable to sleep because they can't stop wondering about all the 'what ifs' and if you know anyone that is a military wife, husband, mother, father or sibling feel free to share this post with them!!

The Party

So here are a few pictures from the birthday party! I made the cute little cake and we got the real one from costco. To follow all the others 1st birthdays it was as you can see a Winnnie the Pooh! The Kids had a blast, and as soon as Grayson figured out what the cake actually was he dug in and was trying to kneed the cake like it was bread dough, it was quite funny!

Singing happy birthday!!
After the first bite he just went face first into the cake.

Today is my 4th nephews birthday!! He is one, and when he was born he was 3lbs 3oz and WAY early!! Lucky for us he pulled through and now we have a "Serious One" which is really funny that he turned out that way because my brother wanted to name him Serious, thankfully my sister-in-law drop kicked that name out of the idea bucket!! Anyways here are a few pictures of Grayson!
At the hospital the day after he was born!
