Yesterday Kasey found out another of his friends was killed in Iraq. I'd never met Torre and he and Kasey weren't super close, but they were deployed together for a year. For some reason I just get so caught up in emotions lately and I can't get him off my mind, not so much him but his friends and family. I hope they are ok, I know that he's in much better place, but do they? Do they have someone there to comfort them and help them deal with the loss of their son, brother, best friend, etc. The kicker is when I pulled up Yahoo the headlines are 'How will Kate Middleton handle her money?' and 'Clueless star is pregnant' SERIOUSLY?! Folks come on, who cares how the future wife of some other country's prince is going to spend her money, and Clueless came out how long ago?? I"m pretty sure there are more important things going on in the world today besides rich peoples lives!
I guess I just want to send my condolences to Torre's family and friends, and hope they find comfort in each other in this horrible time! Let us remember there are still so many young soldiers away from their families fighting every day for us, maybe not in they way the movies make it look but they are out there defending our freedom and keeping us safe!
