Breathe? I don't have time for that!!!

So with the wedding fast approaching (in 28 days!) you can only imagine what kind of crazy busy I've been lately right? Well on top of that I'm at least 3 photo shoots behind that I need to post (thankfully I've given everyone their disk) and 90% of my time has been consumed by this house that I bought for reasons unknown to me at this point and time! However, my goal was to finish the house over memorial day weekend, my parents then decided to have Kasey and me go camping with them, so then I said fine we can go if the house is finished, needless to say we have been busting our butts to get that house done so we can go camping and take a break! There is a little bit of cleaning to do and we need to put a thick coat of poly over the floor, find a REALLY cheap fridge and stove, sell our stove that's got to be from the 70's at the earliest, and then we are DONE! Well with the inside, I can't even think about the yard yet, that will be about as much fun as the kitchen floor was! But it is coming along quite well. After I get the poly coat down (maybe tonight) I'm focusing on ONLY wedding things this week! I've got to cut out all of my invitations and get them ready to send out next Tuesday, plan our family bbq and a ton of other thankfully small things! Oh ya, and pay everyone :( I look at the numbers and feel so bad for my dad! Like he worked so hard for that money and I'm stealing it from him or something! I can't wait to get my tax credit for buying the house so I can give a little back to him! I'm also planning on sending he and my mom on a trip to Fiji in 10 years when I sell my house. I know its a long ways off but I am glad that eventually I will be able to give them something as a thank you for everything that they do for me! Back to the wedding... I'm pretty sure I've picked a cake and I just need to meet with the decorator to finalize it! I need to meet with my florist soon, contact between us has been pretty hit and miss and it makes me nervous but I've known her for about 5 years and she is the most amazing florist I've ever met, and a pretty awesome person so I'll put my fears aside and know that it will all work out!
Other things on my 'todo' list for the wedding are silly things like buying bubbles and coloring books and skittles. Making some bags for the ceremony stuff and reception stuff getting a mani/peddi (or that ones not silly) but you get the idea, lots of small things that will consume all of my time for the next few weeks! Kasey and I are going to get our marriage license next Tuesday and for some reason I'm so excited, its like it makes it official or something lol. I do need to ask if someone else can take the marriage license back to the county people besides the Bishop since he's leaving to go out of town literally as soon as the ceremony ends!
I'm sure it will all be fine! anyways until then, here is a cute picture of my new kitchen (with super dirty counters!)

Good and Bad

So today when I woke up it was a very good morning and a horribly bad morning as well! I woke up with 3 new zits and a swollen eye. Not sure how my eye became this way, last night when I was almost out my eye starting itching and it felt really dry, I figured it would just go away but when I got to the bathroom this morning it was super swollen and tender, I'm assuming its something to do with stress since I haven't started taking any new meds or using new cosmetics. I'm hoping it just goes away in a couple of days! The good news however was when I got on the scale I'd dropped 2 lbs! I wish you could tell by looking at me though lol, I'm hoping to be down 15 more by the wedding which if i really put my mind to it will be a piece of cake. Speaking of cake, I'm super excited to meet with my cake lady and look at pictures of things she's made and make my final decision! (FINALLY) it really shouldn't be this hard! We are also doing getting the invites done this weekend, then all that's left is the little stuff oh and the flowers, just waiting to hear back from my florist! I only need to order them 4 weeks in advance to be sure we can get any flowers I want ( I know this from working at the flower patch for 3 1/2 years! ) anyway, I'm almost done with my jars, I've only got 13 sticks to glue on fans, still need to plan the bbq, find some shoes, make a playlist, oh ya and get my tax credit so i can book my honeymoon!!! Ah that is the major stress in my life! I will be going to Hawaii even if I have to stowaway in the cargo area in a snow suit! I will be there! The house is coming along, we got the kitchen floor ripped out, or should I say floors! There ended up being 3 subfloors and 5 different layers of tile and laminate, not including the main layer which is hard wood :) Kasey's uncle has a sander so we can get started on sanding and refinishing that and hopefully it will look AWESOME! I am planning to finish painting the cupboards this weekend and having Kasey change the hardware, we need to put the trim on the windows in the front room and then just clean it up! The blinds are SO gross, I was  thinking of taking them in the yard and hosing them down but I think I'll just buy new ones. The office and the master are done, and as soon as we are done with the kitchen floor and I can move the stove back in there I'll finish cleaning and painting the guest room! Its kind of frustrating thinking of everything that we've done and still knowing how much is left! And we haven't even started in the yard really!! Ugh we had someone come and airate and spray the weeds, i've mowed twice and we sprayed again but then a couple days later it rained for 3 days so I'm really hoping it had time to kill them off first! I'm sure we'll have to spray weeds about 10 more times and then do spot treatments, but we are going to lay our seed first so we might just have alot of weeds for the next month or two lol, oh well. One day it will be fantastically beautiful! Its weird to think I'm going to actually live there one day (pretty soon too) instead of just working on it all the time and then going back to my parents! I'll take some pictures of the kitchen floor either today or tomorrow and post them!

The House

REALLY BIG POST....
I'm going to be kind of like the people that take pictures of their house every week while its being built (cus if I was building I would TOTALLY do that) but since I'm not building I'm going to show updated pictures of repairs, new paint jobs, new flooring, stuff like that!
Here is the first round of pictures: (beware, VERY dirty!)

This is my house :) Soon to be painted white with a red door and navy blue shutters!

(something like this... even though this is my REALLY bad photoshop upgrade lol)

Here is the front room (we've already added the base boards, vent covers and all of the door casings! Now to take down those AWFUL black wanna be drapes!!)

Moving into the office/den: Yes that is the EXACT color of pepto! SICK!!!!!!

Up the stairs into the master bedroom/bath:

I'll get better pictures of these!

Back down and into the kitchen:

Don't worry, that water heater is the first thing to go! Next is the stove :) Its going to be like a brand new house when I'm done with it!!

the cute little kid is my nephew, he is an awesome helper! No matter the project he always wants to help, whether its working with papa in the yard, on the house, or helping me make sugar cookies!!

This is the guest bedroom, it's getting new carpet! (so is the master, oh and the carpet in the master is coming out this week and being replaced with a nice wood floor!)

neither of these pictures show that there are two windows in this room... how did I miss that? Anyway the 'closet' on the right is going to be made into a built in book shelf!

This is the main bathroom, it actually was just redone and I love it, it just needs a little bleach and a rug!

this is our OUTSTANDING backyard! I LOVE IT, and will be spending most of my time in it, I love to garden, and just lay in the grass! It needs some fill dirt and grass seed, and the fruit trees have already been trimmed by my wonderful dad! now I just need to rake, weed, and get that fantastic garden going!!

so there you have it, my new house. I absolutely LOVE it!! I've always (well since I was like 16 lol) dreamed of having a really old house that I could fix up, and now I have it!
