So with the wedding fast approaching (in 28 days!) you can only imagine what kind of crazy busy I've been lately right? Well on top of that I'm at least 3 photo shoots behind that I need to post (thankfully I've given everyone their disk) and 90% of my time has been consumed by this house that I bought for reasons unknown to me at this point and time! However, my goal was to finish the house over memorial day weekend, my parents then decided to have Kasey and me go camping with them, so then I said fine we can go if the house is finished, needless to say we have been busting our butts to get that house done so we can go camping and take a break! There is a little bit of cleaning to do and we need to put a thick coat of poly over the floor, find a REALLY cheap fridge and stove, sell our stove that's got to be from the 70's at the earliest, and then we are DONE! Well with the inside, I can't even think about the yard yet, that will be about as much fun as the kitchen floor was! But it is coming along quite well. After I get the poly coat down (maybe tonight) I'm focusing on ONLY wedding things this week! I've got to cut out all of my invitations and get them ready to send out next Tuesday, plan our family bbq and a ton of other thankfully small things! Oh ya, and pay everyone :( I look at the numbers and feel so bad for my dad! Like he worked so hard for that money and I'm stealing it from him or something! I can't wait to get my tax credit for buying the house so I can give a little back to him! I'm also planning on sending he and my mom on a trip to Fiji in 10 years when I sell my house. I know its a long ways off but I am glad that eventually I will be able to give them something as a thank you for everything that they do for me! Back to the wedding... I'm pretty sure I've picked a cake and I just need to meet with the decorator to finalize it! I need to meet with my florist soon, contact between us has been pretty hit and miss and it makes me nervous but I've known her for about 5 years and she is the most amazing florist I've ever met, and a pretty awesome person so I'll put my fears aside and know that it will all work out!
Other things on my 'todo' list for the wedding are silly things like buying bubbles and coloring books and skittles. Making some bags for the ceremony stuff and reception stuff getting a mani/peddi (or that ones not silly) but you get the idea, lots of small things that will consume all of my time for the next few weeks! Kasey and I are going to get our marriage license next Tuesday and for some reason I'm so excited, its like it makes it official or something lol. I do need to ask if someone else can take the marriage license back to the county people besides the Bishop since he's leaving to go out of town literally as soon as the ceremony ends!
I'm sure it will all be fine! anyways until then, here is a cute picture of my new kitchen (with super dirty counters!)
